🛠️ How It Works:

1. Slide the ring on the barrel down to rest against the handle.

2. Insert the knurled tip into the soil up to the groove located 1/4” from the point.

3. Read the compression strength directly from the scale—visible at the lower side of the ring (nearest the knurled handle).

4. For very soft soils, use the Adapter Foot and divide the reading by 16 to obtain the correct value.
